Gregorian, Hijri and “Arabic date” terminology

Gregorian dates follow a solar calendar and are sometimes called Miladi dates. Hijri dates follow the twelve-month Islamic lunar calendar and use AH year numbering. “Arabic date converter” is a common search phrase, but Arabic is the language; Hijri is the calendar being converted.
